e92cloud is partnering with Source Defense to help organizations protect e-commerce sites as Magecart threats grow alongside consumer demand.

Online sales have boomed during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the latest Online Retail Index showing nearly 34% growth year on year, with almost every category showing strong increases.

Within the last month, nearly 2,000 Magento stores (one of the world’s most popular e-commerce platforms) were hacked using Magecart, with the target being user information and payment card details. It exploited an older version of the Magento software, but one that nearly 100,000 stores are thought to still be using – highlighting the challenging for organisations to always ensures sites are fully patched and updated.
